Does Viagra Work for Erectile Dysfunction? My Experience and Review

Last updated on July 23rd, 2018

ED at a young age isn’t fun, and when I first began to struggle with erectile dysfunction, I was given some samples and a prescription of various ED medications.  Levitra and Cialis were the first things I tried, and while I had some success with them, they were not foolproof.

Trying Viagra For The First Time

Upon hearing that other medications were not being as successful as we had hoped, my doctor graduated me to a 100 mg dose of Viagra.

He advised me to cut the pill in half, and only take 50 mg, but with all of the issues I was having, I just wanted the full blast.  I wasn’t sure what to expect since this was a much higher dosage than anything I had ever tried.  So the next opportunity my wife and I got, we tried it out.

Does Viagra Work?

Wow, was I impressed and happy with the results of Viagra.  We waited about 45 minutes after I took the pill to begin, and I had no trouble getting an erection.  In fact, it was the best erection I had had in a long time.  Guys with ED know that it is easy to fall into the thinking that somehow you are less of a man, but this Viagra pill made me feel on top of the world again.

Not only was I able to easily maintain an erection, but I had no trouble keeping the erection.  I was able to keep it long enough for my wife to orgasm and for both of us to go to sleep satisfied.

My Personal Side Effects of Viagra

The biggest side effect I had with Viagra was stuffy nasal passages and watery eyes.  These are the same side effects I have with all erectile dysfunction pills.  These side effects can make it harder to breathe – I feel like I had a sudden onset of a headcold – and trouble breathing can make you not want to have sex, which obviously defeats the purpose.

Other than that, I had no major side effects from my Viagra use.

Did Viagra Continue to Work?

The 100 mg Viagra pill that I took worked well for a while.  My prescription ran out so I made do with some other pills I had, until I got some Viagra again.  However, the last time I took Viagra I was very disappointed when I got no reaction whatsoever.

Maybe it was a one time deal, but the failure was what spurred me on to make another appointment with my doctor.  That appointment is what eventually led me to the bimix penile injections, so I never have gone back to Viagra.

However, I would still highly recommend trying Viagra.  Of all the pills I have tried, it had the most successful results.  I had the same headcold-like side effects, but the end result was worth it.

Free Samples of Viagra

If Viagra is something that you are thinking you should try out, make sure you go online and get the coupon for a free trial.  You will still need a prescription from your doctor.  Most doctors will have these same coupons in their offices as well.
