Dealing with erectile dysfunction can be a lonely experience, especially ED at a young age. Despite the fact that many men experience ED, no one wants to talk about it. It can be difficult to discuss it with one’s partner because it can be a painful discussion. Due to these hurdles, the first step in getting help with erectile dysfunction is to find a good doctor and a good erectile dysfunction clinic.
The First Call for Erectile Dysfunction Help
After realizing I was having trouble consistently getting an erection, it took me a while to finally pick up the phone and make an appointment with my family doctor. It simply is not a fun conversation to have with the call taker.
However, once I made it to my doctor for the appointment I was more at ease. The problem was that I was 27 years old at the time, and the doctor did not seem to think my struggles were much to be worried about.
He thought the problem was mental, so he gave me a sample of Levitra, told me to have fun, and sent me on my way thinking that once I was able to have a successful sexual experience that I would not be back.
Sounded good, but unfortunately I continued to have trouble.
Making the Call to an Erectile Dysfunction Clinic and Doctor
Not knowing what to do, but becoming increasingly frustrated (as was my wife), I made an appointment with a urologist.
The urologist was one of the best in the area, so I was excited to hear what he thought might be causing my trouble. But like my family doctor, he did not see too concerned with what I was going through. His thought was that I had some minor blood flow issues. He introduced me to Cialis for Daily Use with the thought that it would keep my blood flow up throughout the day. But again, my ED issues did not go away.
The urologist experience really disappointed me. The office was way too busy, the doctor had me sit in the room for an hour before he saw me, and once he entered he barely had time for me. I never made another appointment with him.
Finally Some Help from an Erectile Dysfunction Doctor
Fast forward 2 years. 2 years with very little sex. It was getting to the point of really affecting my marriage, but I wasn’t sure where to go for help.
I had not seen a good doctor to help with the problem. I called the urology office back to see if there was anything else that could be done. I wanted to avoid an appointment with the same urologist, and I was able to get an appointment with the physician assistant.
The PA was the answer to my prayers. He took the time to listen to me, and he laid out the options and a progressive treatment plan to address the erectile dysfunction problem I was having. For the first time in 7 years I felt like there was hope, and my sex life began to be transformed.
The office is still too busy, and I sometimes have to wait a while to be seen, but when you find a good doctor, or in my case a good physician assistant, you will happily put up with some inconveniences.
If you are having trouble finding a great ED clinic and/or doctor to help you with erectile dysfunction, I would encourage you to keep looking. There are good ones out there that can provide you treatments that lead to good results.
Find someone that you are comfortable being open and honest with. Erectile dysfunction is an embarrassing and sensitive subject, but must be talked about honestly if you want help. A good erectile dysfunction doctor will be willing to take the time to have that conversation and tell you steps on how to get back to a satisfying sex life.
