Can Erectile Dysfunction Be Reversed? Four Things I Have Tried

Last updated on July 24th, 2018

Can erectile dysfunction be reversed? That is a question I have asked myself many times over the last few years.

I wish it was as easy as flipping a switch and suddenly things get better. Back to normal even. It would be nice if I could just get an erection without worrying that things won’t work as they should.

But so far, my ED struggles have not been reversed. However, that doesn’t mean that I can’t get an erection at all. It just means that I have to get help, and while it may not mean my erectile dysfunction is cured, it does mean that I have found helpful ways to reverse the effects of ED.

Calming Down Mentally

One of the best things I have learned to do is calm my anxiety about getting and maintaining an erection. Anyone who has struggled with the erectile dysfunction knows the dread of feeling your adrenaline rising, sending blood everywhere through the body except where it is supposed to go.

I still have some trouble with calming myself down, because I always have that worry that I’ll be letting us both down, but it doesn’t happen as often as it used to.

If you have trouble calming down mentally before or during sex, do what I did and try this self-help mental program. It’s made a world of difference for me.

Viagra and Other Oral Erectile Dysfunction Prescription Medications

Even though I have been able to get a lot of help from being more mentally prepared to have sex, I still like to have the boost that comes from using an oral medication such as Viagra or Cialis.

One 100 mg Viagra can get me hard with a great erection. The problem is the same with most guys: it takes an hour to get going so you have to plan it out a little. Many times that can just lead to more anxiety. But if you and your partner talk it out, Viagra can be a great tool to reversing the effects of erectile dysfunction.

I also like to take Cialis for Daily Use. One 5 mg pill seems to give me a little jolt, and if I really want to be prepared I take about 5 of them. I’ve been told it is safe to do that as long as you wait a few days between doses. Cialis stays in the system longer than many other drugs so you can get a nice benefit from using it without feeling the need to rush into anything.

Oral erectile dysfunction medicines are expensive, but they do work. My only side effect is that they give me a stuffy head, but that is a small price to pay for how well they work.

Penile Injections

If you’ve read this site, you know that I’m a fan of bimix penile injections.

If you have never used them, then I’m sure I sound ridiculous. Who really wants to send a needle into one’s penis? I didn’t until I experienced how great it is.

I get an immediate reaction, and my erection comes on without any thought. It’s like I’m 18 again. Plus the erection last a little while after ejaculation, so the fun doesn’t have to end once I’m done.

Your doctor can walk you through the particulars of using the injections, but once you use it you will see that they are worth the effort. It doesn’t hurt nearly as much as you imagine, and the final experience is worth it.

So Can Erectile Dysfunction Be Reversed?

Can erectile dysfunction be reversed? I’m not sure. It hasn’t happened for me yet, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t ways to beat the effects of impotence. Hopefully you can find a way that works for you, because there is help available.
